THE SECULAR FRANCISCANS
Who are the Secular Franciscans?
The Secular Franciscans are a canonically recognized body within the Catholic Church. St. Mary's fraternity is named after St. Padre Pio, a great and Franciscan Brother.
The Secular Franciscans were established by St. Francis of Assisi over 800 years ago.
Our calling is to bring the gospel of life where we live and work, look for ways to bring the gospel to others and follow closely in the footsteps of St. Francis.
The St. Pio Fraternity at St. Mary’s meets monthly for fellowship, prayer, teaching and service. The group is always looking for people who are interested in growing in their faith and would like to learn more about St. Francis of Assisi.
