RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION

What is the RCIA?

The Rite of Christian Initiation (or RCIA) is a program designed for those interested in joining the Catholic Church. Running from September - May or June of the following year.

The RCIA is split into four parts, Inquiry, Catechumenate, Enlightenment and Mystagogy. Starting in the Inquiry stage we slowly work through the fundamentals of faith, have plenty opportunities for asking the important questions on our hearts and prepare spiritually for receiving the sacraments at the Easter Vigil Mass.

This is a beautiful journey and every individual experience is different. Some people enter the program and receive their sacraments that same year, others take more time to discern if they are ready to join the Catholic faith. This program is designed for people who have an interest in the Catholic faith to have a place to meet, ask questions and listen to hear if God is moving their heart to join the Catholic faith. There is no expectation placed on those in the RCIA to complete the program, our faith is a lifelong process and we are so excited that you are considering letting us walk alongside you for however long you wish!
